Though the hills be too high and the winds too strong, the flag still swings. The poles bearing it stand unanimously straight, yet the bearer—the nation herself—bends under the weight of unfulfilled promises. Independence was meant to be anchored on a liberal, dignified, and just state. A nation built on firm, well-structured policies, beamed by integrity, and safeguarded by true democracy. But here we stand — still struggling with basic laws, basic rights, and the most basic democratic needs. The flag never flew straight beyond noon.  THE ECHOES OF FEAR AND POSSIBLE FRUSTRATION My hub blog here speaks volumes but why the name. I probably know not.  My story with grace begins with meeting her outside Church around Aug 2024 and later talking to her and letting her know that i intend to marry her in Aug, 25th evening.  We later have a talk after too many intoxicating conversations with her and discover she has all along had wonderful parents away from her actual friends the Benedicts.  Our journey begins with bringing them on board and well, i was so glad when they accepted me to their company. I couldn't believe i could ever be in the association of such esteemed figures and well, on several occasions, I found myself  sit with them and dine with them.  Oct 2024. 24th/10/2024 A call comes and here is Dad Benedict. What Is the Way Forward? Advocate for a positive mindset among all stakeholders: - teachers, learners and parents as CBC represents a significant paradigm shift in Kenya's education system. The teachers have to retrain, adapt to the new pedagogies and assessment methodologies and parents appreciate the learner -based skill acquisition Advocacy on enhanced teacher Training through continuous professional development programs to equip school managements and teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement the CBC effectively. This includes both pre-service and in-service training modules tailored to the needs of the new curriculum. The government should increase funding and resources to ensure that all schools countrywide and especially those in marginalized areas, have the requisite resources required to implement the CBC. Kenya's education system is undergoing a significant transformation amid the introduction of the Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC). Owing to the shift from the 8-4-4 system that has over time focused largely on preparing learners for generalized summative assessment to focus on developing students' skills and competencies. The latter is set to better prepare a majority of the graduates for the dynamic demands of the modern world labor market and skill based-innovation.  The CBC was designed with the intent to create a more holistic education system that nurtures critical thinking, creativity, and practical skills.
